CDW Posted May 6, 2019 #2 Posted May 6, 2019 The biggest concern I have is the relative humidity level where I am spray painting. Ideal level is 40 - 50%. High humidity will cause paint drying issues and causes clear coats to fog. TOM G Posted May 12, 2019 #4 Posted May 12, 2019 (edited) high humidity will cause lacquer to blush, as we call it in the trade ( fog ). the way to beat it is to spray a slower drying lacquer thinner over it..... one fast wet coat. give it about 20-30 minutes , see if the blush is drawn out...... if not repeat........ this process is for lacquer products only. being an autobody man & painter....... been their done it. lacquer thinner comes in different temperature ranges. fast dry, medium , slow .
