73north Posted February 12, 2020 #1 Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) Hi I am 53 , and currently looking forward to beginning the Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Hood- for which I have acquired a lot of aftermarket additions I have in the display cases , the Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Repulse , 1/350 Cossack ( from Eskimo kit ) , Showcase Models 1/350 HMS Walker ( from Vendetta Kit ) and finally the Infini added Super Detail set for the 1/350 Tamiya Yukikaze - I only build in 1/350 scale as the details are easily visible - I have a few Shapeways - aftermarket sets added to the Kits for the Vendetta Model and 3 D Printed1/350 Main Gun Turrets for the Repulse and Hood - these last 2 added huge amounts of extra detail ( and the Repulse Rear Turret had the right 1941 Oerlikon Walkways rather than Gun Tubs from Trumpeter - I find Acrylic Display Cases are better for Destroyers and Glass ones for Battlecruisers ( although expensive ) regards to the Forum David Edited February 12, 2020 by 73north Haliburton, ccoyle, mtaylor and 3 others 6

73north Posted February 12, 2020 Author #3 Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) my HMS Hood in 1/350 - given a lot of after-market additions and the aftermarket MICROMASTER-designed Shapeways 15 inch Turrets ( printed in finest plastic they offer ) which I have bought for the Hood ( not cheap but they solved the errors with the Kit Turrets ) and what the ones for HMS Repulse looked like - and the effect when painted and given etch and brass barrels - I think you might like this ??
