Stay sails all finished and just couple of rigging work left to do after life boat is secured to the main deck and some other tidying up work are finished. Once again, brought the ship out to a relatively brighter area of the house for some photos.

Hi All,

All rigging are finished and life boat mounted to the main deck. I think in about 2 weeks the ship will be finished. I did not like the work on flags and will probably redo them later.

Life boat installment into the main deck.

Well done Rock from Korea. It is always a great feeiing when finishing a model. May I ask how long it has taking you and I am wondering if the sails came with the kit. I am currently building the Endeavour by Caldercraft but i have a long way to go yet. There is an awful lot of work to complete on the Endeavour even without the sails which is the case with the Caldercraft version. I am currently doing a blog too. Have you any thoughts on what you might build next or do you need a rest. Only joking Haha. Best of luck with any future builds. Sorry I didn't catch this build until later on.

Hi Dave,

Thanks very much for your kind words! I think it took me just little bit more than 1 year (say 1.2 years) - quite fast due to the COVID-19 situation. Corel kit does not come with any sails, nor does Corel provide any plans for sheets. The sails are made from fabric I purchased seperately - pretty much the thinnest fabric that can be worked on by a sewing machine. I bench-marked the Artesania Latina sail plans for the work on sheets. My next project is scratch built Golden Hind which I will be able to post from the beginning this time.

Anyway, all the best with you current build!!  I will be following your current build.

Regards, Rock

Hi All,

Finally finished my work on HMS Endeavor and ready to go to my sister's house this weekend! The work took a bit more than 1 year - much shorter than I expected (COVID-19 definitely having an impact here). Thank you all for your encouragement and guidance!!

The final work : the name tag.
