ChiefClanker Posted September 4, 2021 #1 Posted September 4, 2021 Even though I joined in August 2020, I am just beginning to post build logs and such. My main ship model building interest is the Steam Frigate Minnesota. It was laid down in December 1854, finally taken out of service in 1901, and later burned to the waterline. It fought in the American Civil War in the battle of the Monitor and Merrimack as well as serving throughout the war. Before tackling building the Minnesota, the advise of the moderators and others was to start with a smaller project. The Winchelsea Nef seems like just the project. I am looking forward to building both ships, and others over time. I am also looking forward to interacting with other members.
