PvG Aussie Posted June 25 #1 Posted June 25 This ship brought my family to Australia in 1959 on its final journey. This build report has started three days after I started. The process is much the same as my HMS Victory as you start with research, plans, two pieces of timber, carve out detail, and paint. All that is left is getting it into the bottle, adding the bridge and pulling up and gluing the masts. Sounds easy, doesn't it? (It's not!) PvG Aussie Posted June 26 Author #2 Posted June 26 (edited) Today was a quiet day waiting for glue to dry. Because I'm not having 'water' around this model, I made a wooden base plate to attach to the bottom of the bottle. After waiting all day for the glue to thoroughly dry, this afternoon I added the lower section of the ship. Tomorrow, I hope to add the name plate, top half, stack and bridge. I'll let it dry all day before I intend pulling up the masts. Thanks for your interest in this small build. My next build will definitely be more challenging.
