Hi, I’m Jeremy (Jez) and home is Bolton in the UK. This is my first and hopefully not my last posting on Model Ship World.

I’ve been into model making, model engineering and general creative hobbies for many years but only just got into boat building with the recent completion of an Amati Aquarama - photo attached. Not averse to a challenge I am now undertaking a 1/100 scale model of the QM2 with very basic hull work started. I’d love to receive any advice, tips and comments along the way. I intend to combine traditional wood skills with 3d printing and laser cutting. The main issue so far is a lack of information, no plans and building from scratch. Should be an interesting build!
