Hi Zoran

I really like your coversation  with Thanasis. I never heard about those Kind of ships before in my life and never thought that one could debate about the history or the Kind of different types of boats. But I learned that this is a very big and extreme intersting Topic. Just only the different purpose of boats just for fishing or just for Transport and all this is very inetresting. I am sure that there is a lot of knowledge with the People living at the sea. I am thrilled by sailing ships and the naval history of europe and of course by all the men like Abel Tasman, Magellan, Bering, Cook and so on. But that the boats and ships of course have a very intense and Close meaning to the normal People on the coasts... never thought about it.

Your trajta or leud or whatever :D Comes along very attractive and beautiful...

Best wishes

Max

Thank you Zoran. I have made also my homework... :)
Fishes can stay fresh until they reach the shore, by keeping them wet under a tent or by covering them with wet textiles.
I tend to believe that since the boat could be heavy loaded and because of the Adriatic sea conditions,  it was safer to sail as a closed hull boat, rather than as an open one. But I leave it to the fishermen... B)
Thx

Max, Hi,...it is nice to see you in this topic, even nicer to see a sincere interest in this ...

Thanasis, your homework is pretty good, :)  , this reconstruction, as I have already said, is based on the ancient texts and very old ship lines , nothing is made up here ...

thanks everyone for the likes ...

... About the kit :

...This kit is supplied with square strips 6x6mm . Each strip is 33.3 cm long, and there are six of them ... From each strip should be made an oar. The oars are approximately equal. They can be created manually, but I used a lathe ...
...On each side of the hull, there are two bracket for oars. In reality, they are made out of dry branches ... these are forked ... oars are disposed in the bracket as it is shown in the photos :

This set is supplied with a sail made of embroidered fabric, it is necessary to finalized it by a hand (manualy),  I should sew the edges and add a rope that surrounds the outer edge of the sail ... I tied the masthead ... and mounted it on the mast ...

Very elegant. The seeming simplicity of this ship I'm sure understates the complexity of making a model of it. Love it - well done!

It`s a real beauty, but I do have one question, will you find the time to place the rudder at the correct posistion? Even tho one would not notice thats its in the wrong place until you tell them or they know the boat.

Dear gentlemen, now, finally, I  announce that this build  log is completed... Thank you very much for your support and good comments, it really means a lot ...When I get some time I will correct the mistake on the rudder, and now, I'm going to post this last photo ... so this is Trajta :
