Thank you for your comments and likes. The mice are gone. I filled the hole they came in with concrete and completely filled the space under the flooring with insulation. It is actually much wormer now.
And no concrete and insulation under the deck planking in your Winnie I assume... LOL....

Thanks Frank, but I did not make a proper selection of wood when I started these pieces. You can see a very visible grain and there is a difference in colour that sometimes shows more in other photos. I'll be careful about this in future.
I rather like some color variation, unlike many other builders I know, It gives more variety to the eye, 'on every inch something should happen' ...furthermore, shipyards didn't sort their planks on color I guess, as they were glad to receive the appropriate and enough wood to carry on building I read in one of my many books on English, French and Dutch shipbuilding...

Thanks, Chuck, Edward and scrubbyj427!
I'm already on my way with the second band, updates will follow after I finished it.

That looks like a nice relaxed curve with no bumps or weird tensioned humps following your batten. How does it look from bow to stern looking throughone nearly closed eye?
Can you make a picture of that? Does one edge of the batten follow the tick marks exactly and/or is it averaging them?Frank.

Ted, what a secure and tidy way of working.
Even in squaring, outlining and determining symmetry and correct heights on the bulkheads
I've learned a few metheds for my next build from you!
Simply great!

Thanks Steve, Bruce, Scrubby, James
and the likes!
Just take your time and remove a plank that’s not fully to your standard or liking. It may take an extra hour, but there will be many years you looking at it…
