Beautifully done once again nigel, its not just the looks, but the work and thought put into it which makes it an amazing build, keep it up!

i think its simply because there's more heat = more pressure = more recoil = more momentum, and if the ropes are stopping it from going further back it only has one place to go, much like when a you pull the brakes on a motorbike the back end goes up. But i'm not a scientist..

thanks nigel and a good point, i have plenty of motors its just the main bit to hold the drill, unless i can find some parts laying around from rc cars and helicopters probably easier to just buy one.

Thanks Tony i've had a look already but i'd love to just be able to make my own otherwise i'd probably get one if i cant make me own, but im not the best at electronics though i do enjoy it.

I've seen a few of these from a russian model forum and they look quite useful for drilling smaller holes efficiently, sure you could probably use a router but they're a bit big when using 0.5 drills, does anyone have any information on them or how to make one?
