  2. Wow.. incredible, reallys brings to mind what the ships would of been like in the heat of battle, each gun/deck packed as you see it as you've done, great work
  3. Beautifully done once again nigel, its not just the looks, but the work and thought put into it which makes it an amazing build, keep it up!
  4. i think its simply because there's more heat = more pressure = more recoil = more momentum, and if the ropes are stopping it from going further back it only has one place to go, much like when a you pull the brakes on a motorbike the back end goes up. But i'm not a scientist..
  5. lovely work alexandru, do you know what the dimensions of this huge model will be?

  8. thanks nigel and a good point, i have plenty of motors its just the main bit to hold the drill, unless i can find some parts laying around from rc cars and helicopters probably easier to just buy one.
  9. Thanks Tony i've had a look already but i'd love to just be able to make my own otherwise i'd probably get one if i cant make me own, but im not the best at electronics though i do enjoy it.
  10. I've seen a few of these from a russian model forum and they look quite useful for drilling smaller holes efficiently, sure you could probably use a router but they're a bit big when using 0.5 drills, does anyone have any information on them or how to make one? (images can be found on google 'Diy motor drill' theres a few images to give you an idea of what im talking about https://www.google.co.uk/search?safe=off&q=diy%20motor%20drill&psj=1&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.50165853,d.d2k,pv.xjs.s.en_US.seW1cfrvSKg.O&biw=1152&bih=628&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=wBH9UYTENK7J0AWU7oHYAQ) (from jack aubreys gallery, hope he doesn't mind)
