Good recovery on the stem. I can see where there would be some confusion.

I am deeply sorry to hear about Rodney’s passing. Your Astrolabe build will be a meaningful and heartfelt tribute to his memory.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone. No apologies needed for your excitement. I would be jumping for joy if this were my model.

Your Sherbourne is looking good. We all have instances where we say "why did I do that this way". There have been many times where I thought that I should have put more thought into doing a particular step on my model.

Welcome to Model Ship World Peter. Once you start building your wooden ship model, you will have a lot of support from the members here on MSW. The Nautical Research Guild has a motto "taint a hobby if you gotta hurry". I have no doubt that you will do just fine in this hobby.

Welcome to Model Ship World. It looks like you are off to a good start. I am glad you figured out the false deck fit problem. You definitely want to sand the deck after you have laid down the individual deck planks. I usually start with 150 grit, then progress to 240 grit and finish with 320 grit. Just take off enough wood to make the deck smooth. Good luck on your build.

Congratulations on finishing your Prince De Neufchatel. Although this build stretched out over 16 years, the results are well worth the time spent.
