Canute reacted to CDW in "Big Tank" Crocker OHV motorcycle by DocRob - Model Factory Hiro - 1/9
If there is a distributor there must be a coil and a coil wire to the distributor.

That´s a possibility Craig and yes the Crocker has a battery.
Cheers Rob

Maybe the wire 7 lead to the coil under the tank and out of view?
Does the bike have a battery?

Canute reacted to Old Collingwood in Battle of Waterloo Attack on La Haye Sainte Farm by Old Collingwood - 1/56 (28mm)
Morning all, so after putting my KGL 3rd Hussar away, I have started on my Dutch 27th Jager, I have used one of my French line infantry as they share very similar uniforms, so far I have cut away his lower left side at the back of his coat where his sword and bayonet was, this has been replaced with a British bread bag and water bottle, that has been cut away from one of my British figures then trimmed to fit and glued in place, I have also filed away the Shako plate as I will attempt to paint in the Dutch design that's a horn - that's all I have done to him so far hence why no pics Yet.
A bit of history of why I am including a single Jager figure in my dio - at Waterloo the 27th Jager skirmishers where famed out in front of the ridge running from the road all the way across, when the French columns advanced and got neat the bulk of the Dutch Jagers fell back, however I am placing my single figure on the road with the 95th rifles firing towards the French.

Canute reacted to Egilman in Triumph 3HW by Tim Moore - Italeri - 1/9
Hey a postwar civilianized version is just as historically accurate.... {chuckle} (and this one looks so accurate I would like to go ride one myself)

they look fantastic as the rest of the bike. The treatment of the various materials is exceptionally well done.
You should start one of the other bikes and post it here.
Congrats,
Dan

Canute reacted to Kris Avonts in Byrnes Thickness Sander Advice
Hi Rafael9,
After a little googling:
And here is a link to this motor: https://www.batteryspace.com/dc-motor-heavy-duty-90v-dc-motor-40w-2000rpm.aspx
If your data is correct it should be a match. Also the 2000 rpm is what is reported for the Byrnes sander with variable speed control.
I hope this helps.
best regards,
Kris

Canute reacted to DocRob in Keeping my head in the game.....
Impressive work Egilman, I hope your CAD development will be put to reality, when ready. Like you, I learned pen and paper construction in my early days as an engineer, but I never converted to CAD other than producing early day 3D-animations.
Your re-engineering is fascinating to follow, I only recently learned, that Model Factory Hiro designs their kits only from pictures very often as well.
Cheers Rob

Ok, another update....
Slowly getting back to where I was...
Truss Rods and diagonal braces....
Brakes...
I had to redesign the cam rod support arm....
That cross piece with the bolts and locknuts was missing before, it is the stop to prevent the brake arms from going overcenter and locking the brakes in the off position... (a very important feature)
And mounted to the Differential carrier...
And as part of the rear suspension....
I guess I can mount the rear wheels now and get her to a rolling chassis state...
Onwards!!!

Thank you all for your comments and likes 😊
Another parts of the decoration added.
Just one notice: I wanted to start to make the decoration according to the Mc Cay´s book - but I couldn´t, check it with the engrawing. So I started to make parts based by Payne.
I noticed it in several cases the pictures in the book are sometimes a mix of both authors .

Baker: thank you, Patrick.
I made another part of the decoration. And as I said it goes very slowly... but if I count correctly, there are more than 500 pieces of gilded parts on the ship already... and this is just one quarter....
