In Germany they quite often use a material called ‘finnpappe’. Unfortunatedky, almost non-available outside that country. Cuts better than grayboard, and does not delaminate.
No idea whether there is a US-variety available. (Don’t think so, even unknown here, and we are not so far from Germany ….)

On to the landing gear. First we have the prepped parts.
And here's the gear glued up and dry-fitted to the fuselage. If you squint really, really hard, you can read the words "Palmer Cord Aero Tyre" on the sidewall.
Struts are next!

Various sub assembles made and glued in place on the stern. I preferred to place the cranes in an extension outside the hull with the prospect of hanging some smaller equipment later.

The lino decks, 2 shaded s of red/brown to represent the linoleum walk ways. I’ll give it a day to set them mask before an overall light grey coat.

amateur reacted to ccoyle in Sopwith Pup by ccoyle - FINISHED - Kartonowa Kolekcja - 1/33 - CARD
I'm working on the lower wing -- nothing exciting enough to warrant a picture -- but I thought I'd share a funny story about one of the agonies of being a card modeler. This year, just as I have done many times for past Christmases and birthdays, I put some card models on my wish list. And today, nine days before Christmas, my wife informed me that the family is "having some trouble" ordering stuff on my wish list -- I knew instantly what kind of "trouble" they were having, and this even after I spelled out in painful detail exactly which sites to visit and how to make purchases at them. To no avail -- it looks as if this year I will once again be ordering my own Christmas presents and receiving them well after Christmas. The family simply cannot get past the Great Wall of Polish eCommerce. Oh, well! Good thing I am used to this by now. 😅

amateur got a reaction from flying_dutchman2 in VIOLIN block
In the Netherlands, those blocks were in use before 1700.
This is an original shop-sign, dating back to around 1694, showing a blockmakers workshop, there is a violin almost in the middle.

And: is the rigging part of the PE? Or are you an EZ-line wizard?

Thanks for including your fingers in the pic. That helps to realize how small it all is.
