Oh my! To be honest, buying a Victory as a first kit was way too much to bite off, let alone chew! But with that said, I say good on him! He gave it a shot and had a go. I know each and every one of us on this site has different skill levels. I'm not a master model shipwright so I'm in no position to judge. But with that said, yes it could of done with a bit more care. Good on him for trying but.
Your doing a great job Dan it's coming along well.

ok in the pic u will i got the holes cut on the lower deck now .i know u dont see the fillers in place i was talking that helping me it its cuz in useing thicker planking for the deck then what it calls for in the book it will come out right so it wont be so hight my good friend has build the victory befor that a big help to me he was over last night helping me

ok a bit of an update i got the parts in to do the repair i show a pic of what iv been doing on the top of the king got the part done under the state room so here it is

Happy new year everyone , I am taking a break from my Endeavour build to finally finish off my victory (as seen in gallery)
I have added jack staff and ensigns, and completed stand.i am working on quarter davits, fore and main ensigns,then finally ships launch. cheers Mike

hi all in the pics u will i did some planking so far it has turned out really well for me and for popeye he said there was to much of a gap whear the bulkhead meet the decks just for u popeye do u see the gap now lol i fixed that tys for the tip popeye let me know what u all think so far

hello popeye the planks iam going to use is a 1.1x5mm iam trying to build here for a good friend i had if u know what i mean i think its will look just fine

so far u have done nice work there at the bow it looks like u cut it a bit short iam doing the same build make sure that u dry fit all the parts to make sure that thay will fit. from what isee u can add a basswood filler for that then sand it to shape it .if u look in the book wear u see the pic there is a part that goes there as well i think its the stern post make sure u look in the book page 9 ok if u need more help just ask

I am going to start construction on the HMS Victory by Corel in January. I am now checking the contents and reading the limited instructions, In your photos, what size wood did you use to hold the keel in place? Also are you going to leave the ship natural or the painted version?
I will be following your effort to construct this beautiful model.

ok i have got the ribs on the keel only as a dry fit so far look good but some of the rib still need a bit of work to them yet . not goign to glue till there right here some pic

hello popeye yes the deck will be planked it will cover the slots that u see in the pic

tys jeff it came out great now i can move on yes the keel holder is great i love it i can lots with it iam going to wear it out lol going to take a bit of a break for Christmas see u all in a bit
