donrobinson got a reaction from Duanelaker in Batelina by donrobinson - FINISHED - MarisStella - 1:10
Here I am showing the grating, the seat supports and the making of the oars. The only changes here was to add the cherry strips to the oars the seat and I also made the seat supports. The ones you will never see but what the heck

donrobinson got a reaction from Landlubber Mike in K & S Metals has discontinued many items......buy what you can now.
Lee Valley sells brass shim stock, thickest being .015", 1/64" is .0156" so very close. I then cut this using a guillotine paper cutter, works great and very accurate, also much cheaper. They sell a sample pack that includes a piece of each of their thicknesses(6) if you are not interested in buying a full roll. The cutters are not that expensive on Amazon or even Michaels if you wait to get a coupon😉.

Hi Steven, I've been watching your build and it is looking great. I thought I would show you a picture of how the toggles are used on my current build the Ragusian Galley(MarisStella). I realise mine is from the 18th century and probably not anything similar to yours but it maybe of interest to you.
I will gladly remove if you wish.

Interesting topic, I'll gladly watch this one as the other one is gone now!😉 Did the kit come with just blank blocks of wood?
