  1. Unfortunately it was pointed out to me it had t even made its maiden flight before Langley was sunk ! Somewhat of an accuracy issue!
  2. Pretty much done, I’ll look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow
  3. I’ve now done 99% of the painting and prep; these are the Black Cat replacement guns (the smaller ones are kit provided ones with the PE from Eduard and a replacement barrel. The three types of ships boats are from black cat and there is just no comparison.
  4. I expect I can get Langley pretty much done over the next week or two; but here’s a new photo, the yanks first helicopter ship!
  5. No they were from Northstar in Latvia. These are from Blackcat in France.
  6. They are like brittle wax, about 20 broken in transit, and they are clumped together making it near impossible to remove them. They are very nice just near impossible to get off the fret. I think a different material would be a better outcome for them.
  7. No, they took 3 month to get here are are so brittle they fracture at about 25% each which makes them horrendously expensive
  8. It’s the same photo I’d say just a lot cleaner. As for camouflage I think it’s just shadow
  9. by far the clearest photo i have found of her in February 1942
  10. No mate, that’s a different kit. Kawanishi H8k2 Type 2 flying boat
  11. I must say i agree. I see some parts are soo small that the glue used (even thin glue) would be bigger than the piece itself thus making it pointless. BUT PE is your friend.
  12. Catalinas decals added and a dry brush. Next will be weathering .
  13. Yes, that would have been an Aussie one. The little resin kits either lack details on the wings and Hull or the molds have degreased too much. so after 2 hours of masking the underside, and a few shades of grey and a bit of weathering, I can let it set until I can give a clear coat and put decals on.
