    I like these two, a blue filter (German) and a neutral grey for greys. It works quite well.

    It’s in the cue, I bought a $20 submarine, a blimp and a new bird farm on the way as a major build; Australia Post is killing me at the moment awaiting final pieces for this build

    Hull grunge and rust, I reckon that will do

    Really nice work, the detail is fantastic at this scale

    I’ve added a blue filter, then a green slime for the lower hull (alge) some brown chipping and some salt on the waterline. Streakings of rust and grunge whe it all dries .

    Yes I understand what you’re saying, I’ve pretty much gone off the painting guide for the ship, I played around with it before I painted her and when I went higher it seemed odd from the original photos

    Gloss, decals, matte

    Blue hull done. I’ll do some filters then decals then fade it out

    Spraying in the ribs, a medium grey then a medium grey overspray to dull it out

    Boot strap added, then masked and a dark grey lower hull as a base coat.

    So this arrived in the post today, pretty simple but impressive and will be a challenge to paint

    So apparently it was this colour in 1945 and the lower hull was a grey colour

    Getting my paint on, some panel lines and some etching. But of sanding to go yet.

    The other option is but a 1/700 mast set and there are also the correct fittings available for them. Go to Hobbyeasy and have a dig around

    And done, I can’t swap the Y turret due to the canvas but so be it.

    I just ordered one, won’t get to it this year but I have plans…..

    I reckon one above it at a slight angle would look very nice
