Hello every one and Thank you all for the good thoughts and good will. It has been awhile since I posted any thing but I finally went back to work on Alfred. At the moment am working on the upper deck and trying to cut knee's, lodging and hang and getting them to fit. It's a little work but they are getting done. The other thing that I finally got around to working on is the crank handles for the pump's, along with all the other stuff that fit's around the pump's them self. Hope I can put some photo's up real soon. It is so good to be back to work on her. Who know's maybe just maybe I get her finished before the ship takes me away. Thanks every one. Gary

Hi Trevor. He has done a lot of translated and most of the ones you have mention are in my small library. I really like the one about Blaise espionage and filled in a lot of question on English ship building. You must also have a nice library which come's in hand when your research for information. Gary

Hi Trevor. Are you talking about the Facsimile reprint published by Jean Boudriot Publications. Am not sure how much translation David Roberts did, But he did help on the Facsimile but do believe that most of the set was done by Jean Boudriot. It is a great set and also come with a great set of plates in Vol 2. Hope this helps. Gary

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
