Pete, Thanks to you as a regular visitor to this log and for your Kind appreciations Nils Michael, there are many Little sequencial to be built parts, so provided there is time to do, its just one or two days for doing These. I guess ist just like you did those many litte small parts for your Pilot cutter one by one Nils

Build log part 46 yesterday I started with the QD ballustrade and its rails and supports, further some of the belaying Pins and Frames for the hammock netting (in height of the Crew`s neck and head ) checking out the height for a horizontal resting of the spare mast-parts, so that the crew has enough space underneath The focsile deck gallowbeam (rest surface for spare mast parts) is only 4mm from deck allowing a horizontal lay-on, this causing the mid deck gallow Support to be 36,5 mm from deck with its rest surface Little knobs at the rail ends belaying Pins and hammock net frames protection for head area Nils

Build log part 45 The rigging of the anchor cables slowly but steady Pegasus is coming on guns are now all completely rigged The anchors will be mounted much later, but the cables are placed already Capstan with 4 rounds to the Messenger cable the QD is going to cover the most of it, but view is partialy given from through the outcut in QD I`m going to fit Support rollers (bracket with Horizontal and vertical rollers) for the Messenger, just behind those pillars to avoid rubbing to the wood port anchor cable is tied and secured to the bit, whilst the starbord cable is temporary tied to the Messenger, as a waist-decklength is hauled in, then the tie is shifted to the front again for the next haul All the ropes are indicating a busy deck...., I wonder already how that may look after the rigging later on... Thank you very much Bob, I think I`ll have to watch out if there is available somewhere a Little camera lens attached to a flexible Slim Support that can be used in combination with a digitible camera for making shots (like the medical applications). But that would probably be rather expensive Nils

The thought was to simply leave away the portside interior Fitting out (cabins, rooms lockers. etc. That would enable sight into the ship as far as the side cutaways allow. I still ca`nt beleave that the Crew was counting up to 125 men. David, thank you, a brandy usualy goes with a good cigar, but I do`nt smoke any more since I was 25, so the thought dd`nt even rise, but its worth a try with a good glass..., after achieving a result to ones own satisfactory Martin, many Details were not planed from beginning on but just implemented as the thoughts came. That is the benefit of scratch..., no limitizing margins Nils

Hi Mark, I also call up the the same sort of crafter web-Shops, and often find small items (actualy a sort of bead or a bead link) that with a slight Change here and there, work out as something I was looking out for or wanting to build. As far as the tweezers are concerned I use Long and short ones, but for gripping and grabbing purposes I have most pleasure in using thoe arterial clamps with tooth shutting / opening Feature, for example when Holding These mini blocks for Drilling the sheave holes a Little larger. Build log part 44 view into cargo hold and intermediate deck intermediate deck with sight on Forward stair from gundeck, sailroom, freshwater-drum, railing for main hold hatch, upper well area, and in Background pantry room. The port side stowed anchor cable is tied and resting on the cargo and Barrels, and rises up and through the gundeck hatch grating portside aft chainplates. Because of suited length to the intermediate links I made individual new ones instead of using the ones from the etch-sheet appr. 66% of this area shall be covered by the QD I´m quite pleased to be so far now... (keellaying was in Apr. 2013) my Color System, brass, natural Wood and dull black where applicable last dry fit for focsile- and Quarterdeck, all fits well so far.. also fitted the last deckstringers Build log part 45 to follow....
