  1. Totally agree with Pat. And by the way, Ian, you have inspired my next SIB. I'm not quite ready to kick it off yet, but your work here gave me the idea for what I hope will be an interesting project.
  2. It just keeps getting better and better, Grant. My neck is getting sore from shaking it back and forth every time you post new pictures. Your paint jobs on those incredibly detailed castings is just wow.
  3. Beautiful work, Daniel! I love the display with the engraving and the carefully placed anchors and oars. Very elegant presentation.
  4. Such a beautiful boat. It looked like such a simple build from the picture in your first post. But following each of your steps along the way has shown me that there is a lot of hidden complexity in the build requiring a lot of skill. Well done (with the finish line near), my friend!
  5. I am in awe. The complexity of what you were dealing with just boggles my mind. Congratulations on completing such an arduous task. You did an absolutely amazing job, Steven.
  6. That's got to be the widest variety of clamps used on a boat at the same time! Despite all the difficulties you described, your planking came out beautiful. That next to last picture is fabulous! I also notice that Marvin disappeared from the last few pictures. Did you scare him away with all that language that's been filling up the super D cup? 😃
  7. Fantastic paint job on those tiny drums, Grant! So realistic - even with the up-close pictures!!
  8. Welcome to MSW, Aeneas. You have found the best site on the whole interweb!
  9. I'm late to the show but working my way to the front row. Looks like an interesting subject and I love the prominent wood grain. But the best part is the dedication of the build. Toast to your First Mate!!!
  10. These are the 2 coolest projects ever!!! Please keep us updated with more pics of their work. And I checked my bible. Sure enough, all the fishing boats were indeed turquoise and pink! 😃
  11. I tried to stop myself from doing this, Keith, I really did. But my fingers just wouldn't listen. I fully expect for you to block me from your build log going forward.
  12. Excellent decision to change the color of the ground under the pit and give it a gravelly look. It makes for a very nice contrast to the brown dirt as well as helping to visually identify the work area.
  13. Now I get it! Like tossing something in the trash bin. BTW, very cool area to display your work! I think a sea monster attacking a ship would be a great addition to the partition!
