  1. Since I found the Alfred to be beyond my skills, I’ve decided to take a step back and start a build that is more to my skill set. I am enjoying this hobby but need to stay in my lane until I get more experience. Using the instructions and prints provided as well as studying the builds of others will help me in tackling this project.

  2. I picked up this model from Facebook marketplace. This one was produced in 1974. There is one other example of this model on this forum and the modeler (Schooner) did a great job. I will be utilizing his pictures and advise as I attempt to tackle this project. I know it is a bit over my head, but I am patient in learning and working on my skills. I picked up an updated instruction manual from Blue Jacket. The first glaring issue I noticed is the difference in the hull. Schooner’s hull came mostly chiseled out. See the second picture. Question number 1, should I chisel out the hull so that it resembles the other modelers hull or work with the hull as is?

@Retiredpm, I just looked at your Dory.  Very nicely done!  I had fun with mine, and it was quite the learning curve, as I am a rank beginner!  I think you will enjoy the Pram.  I am encountering all sorts of issues along the way, as you can tell, but its all part of the learning curve.  Have fun!   And all the build logs have been (and still are) very helpful along the way!

(On a  side note, I am also a "retired project manager" (if that's what your username is referring to!)
