Glad to see you doing those extra anchor supports. My kit plans actually show them but I kind of glossed over them while doing other things. So I am currently cutting holes in my bulwarks to mount them. Your pictures you posted are pretty nice but darned if I can figure out how they are rigged with the 2 blocks.

Excellent work Frank. As we are all learning from each other`s builds I`m sure I will see something on yours that I could have done better on mine.

Thanks Michael & Bug - much appreciated. Looks like my plans are not too far off.

Thanks Frank.I don`t know the title of the book - you might try asking Michael in his log.

Thanks for the responses guys.I did find a couple of good photos & 1 drawing on the Wasa Dream website which shows how the upper mast sections were attached. It looks as though they are fastened with metal straps rather than going through holes in the mast caps.Looks like I will have to modify the kit parts again!I do have an idea for a lantern - need to think about it for awhile. Michael - if you would like to post a couple of pics that would be great.

Thanks Michael. The cannons are the ones that came in the kit - one of the better parts of the kit. They are cast brass or bronze, not turned. The hull is pretty much done so I`m not sure what I will move on to next - maybe the masts.need to look around & see how close to correct my plans are.I`m pretty sure the rigging is way off so I am planning to use Corel`s rigging plans which seem much better.Any one know what kind of stern lantern this ship may have had?I assume it did have a stern lantern - I haven`t seen a ship of this era yet that didn`t have one.The one in the kit seems a bit out of scale. Also does anyone know if it had a rudder chain or rope?

Thanks Michael.Have been to that build several times - he is in a class by himself.

Thanks for the link to that video - wonderful.Makes you really appreciate how they could build a ship this large & complicated without the use of modern tools.

Would love to see a build log on this as I also have this kit stashed away in the closet.

I ,too have built the Mantua Sovereign & Wappen Von Hamburg & agree with the comments of aferox. In my opinion the Wappen is a much higher quality kit than SoS.It would be a bargain at that sale price.

A little update - Been working on the gunport lids.Starboard side upper row done.Work on the ship has slowed considerably - blew out something in my shoulder that will require surgery after the first of the year. Can still do some of the small things but not much else. Happy Holidays to everyone at MSW & thanks for looking in.

Michael - checked his log.No words to properly describe his work. That will be a very large model at 1/36 scale.Almost makes me want to give up on mine - but I will soldier on.

Peter - as I have the Royal William kit sitting in my closet I was wondering when you might have all the manuals completed for this great kit? What I have seen so far is outstanding!
