Thanks very much Karl & John - your comments are much appreciated. .

Wow - nice setup.Your work area is almost as messy as mine .Looks like the black table is adjustable in height - something I could really use when rigging these tall ships.

Thanks Jan V.,Mike,& Ulises .I also have the Corel kit & hope to do a better job on it as more info on the structure & rigging comes available.

FINISHED! I decided to add a stern lantern to finish it off. There are still a number of errors but I am fairly satisfied how it came out. I want to thank everyone for all the loos & likes during the build. The problem now is where to put it - it`s almost 4 ft long. An even bigger problem is deciding what to build next I will try to put a few more pics in the gallery.

Hello Frank
Do you happen to know how those davits are rigged to lift the anchor? I remember seeing a picture somewhere but can`t recall where.

I agree - looks like it will work nicely.

Looks good - I also have these davits made but am waiting until the rest of the ship is almost done - ropes & other things seem to get caught on anything sticking out the sides of the ship.

Hello everyone! Thanks for all the nice comments & likes.I don`t know if the rigging is 100% correct but it is the best I can make out after looking at all the photos I could find - mostly Clayton`s. Lin Feng - I believe I lost a bunch of pictures due to a glitch in the MSW system & can`t re-load them since I didn`t save them. I actually bought new chainplates made by Amati from Ages of Sail & slightly modified them. If you are interested the Amati part numbers are 4092/07 & 4092/05.

Thanks Ulises. By the way I copied your jig for making rope coils - hope you don`t mind .

Ulises - that was me. my kit had walnut & boxwood planking for the second layer of planking but there wasn`t enough of the boxwood to do even one side.As I recall the boxwood was supposed to be used between the whales.I had enough of the lime to do the first layer of planking.

One more thing about Mamoli - be sure and inventory the kit. Every Mamoli kit I have done was short either wood or metal parts.

Hello Jan
Are you going to add the topgallant mast sections? I added them too mine because with the model being almost 4 feet long the masts seemed a little too short.I know a lot of modelers don`t add them due to space limitations or the want to show the ship as it looked on her maiden voyage. With or without them you still have a great looking model.
