    Sure Spencer, and without fail. I intend to do the following steps respectively 1. Finish bulwarks 2. Finish sanding and putty 3. Put moldings on hull ( 3 or 5, I ll see) 3a - make poop and mount it 4. Plank bulwark and poop with veneer and colour 5. plank water holes with alu-foil and colour it 6. plank rest of hull and poop with veneer strips and colour 7. cooper with zinc foil 8. make doors for wather on bulwark maybe it will be some step between and then climb to deck for houses, furniture and other stuff there. I think that on this stage real works begin As you see, a lot of work

    To catch the wind on better way and to spread forces of strong winds to hull construction Somewhere ( I dont know where) I read that with CS there was novelty with her mast angle, and that enabled her to get fantastic speed on strong winds. And angles are not the same on each mast ...

    No, Popeye, I am not down, only my bad English. Sometimes I have not enough words to express well I am thinking of or fell about, or I am so tired to write on Serbian, translate with Google, find better words and phrases, to correct. CS is going well, in home is everything good, Admiral is happy ( with new carpet and fountain), kids (1) ... no reason to be down (today). Meat mincer on job works with full strenght ( it means that money will come ...) Thanks for your interesting, and see you around (1) - My son (22) had a brilliant idea to keep his bike ( Chinesse crusier 250 ccm) on street on two days with very heavy rain, without covering. Result : very dead battery, and water in the impossible places in electrical installations, and only God know what else is burned out. He obviosly play the game named "How to drown my own bike". I would not even occur to me to pay for repairs, mister must learn something in harder way BTW: Me, very smart and very self-confident, driving (car) over than 30 years, ( never driving bike before) , over two years ago in February ( winter with snow) have said to my self : You know it, it is easy. Result : 4 cm cut to the bone on left leg and surgery with sawing in Emergency Center ... Hi is obviosly not only fool in my home ...

    Spencer Thank you for your interest. Last month or two I am pretty occupied with some details, and last posts are about them. Reason: During sanding hull, I concluded that first I must finish bulwarks, and then finish putty and sanding whole hull to get full and proper lines and curvatures, and after that to go forward. And bulwarks had some details to think about them, as you see in my earlier posts For you, there are pictures you ask for Today, I put bulwark on front deck Also, I made some three layer piece from bulwark of poop-deck, but it is still under pressure to glue properly. As you can see, it is missing on poop-deck And whole deck from birds-sight. My camera is only 5MP, and this is quite a large model And today side view after first layer of putty on bulwarks I made this evening Two photos of down side

    Yeah, here comes another Cutty !!!! Go forward, I`ll watch carefully and with great interest. Planking ... you go well ( for now) ... that was a nightmare for me PS "slots in the keel that are for the masts were slanted for some reason" They have to be slanted !!!! See you Nenad

    I am pretty excited, feeling that I slowly entrance to real precise works, and real modeling I started making stern bulwark on copied line of poop-deck, to try some idea I pick up somewhere on MSW Edit october 02. 2013 at 07:00 Preparing to go to office, waiting for Admiral to finnish herself, on a way to garage little visit of workshop to see if it glued properly .... It does not work. Lack of strength and it had immediately broked down when I remove paper and try strenght. Must try something else at the evening with layers in one peace each Edit august 31th 2015 In this stage, it is time to think about dead-eyes laid on aft deck dia, and about height of aft deck house. Look at this picture and think about.

    Eh, Popeye, there is a joy in chat sometimes. Also in exchange of experiences and ideas ( MSW is aobut that, I think) I fixed poop-deck on way you suggested before I read your post. On copy paper is Campbell poop-deck and lines and curvatures now seems OK

    Thx Bob, that was exactly I thought about, and that lead me to idea that it will be necessary (?) to remove mounted "white" panels and dead-eyes from poop deck, and after to use magic to re-mount dead-eyes. And If I should do so, why not dismantled the entire poop-deck and do it properly. And if I do that, why should not remove all of the nail-holders and did them on track (metal brackets for dead-eye for instance). And if I do that, why should not make dead-eyes in proper size? And if I do that, why should not ..... Ah, a lot to think about .... It seems to me that it would still be partially improvised

    Oh, boy, even from air-plane you can see the deepness of my problem Look and compare original plans and Campbell. Very very very different curvature. I put them in Photoshop as two layers, scaled to fit on straight line, and almost cry. Any idea how to resolve this without remounting poop deck ?

    Take care about space under poop deck and bow deck. There are many things to be UNDER them. I didnt , and had to reconstruct front deck from begining. For poop deck is to late now. Look at minimum 3-4 steps forward, and everything will be OK. Keep on posting, pls

    Next step - bulwark on rear deck, and some research There are not white panels there There are another details, but about them - later. First to finish sanding of Her and second planking. And another conclusion. Stern is not rounded as in my old plans, and at first I must do something about that thing

    Today I finished earlier and went to see Smederevo fortress Here are some pictures to share Process of reconstruction of fortress is running ( when State has money) slowly, slower than ship modeling. Important monument for Serbian History, and it is real a shame relative poor state of works on walls I was walking on walls, climb on real scary rickety wooden stairway to the top of one of the reconstructed defensive towers, and sit there some time, light a cigarette or two or three, and send myself over 500 years back, trying to imagine and to visualize life in that small fortress (which long ago was nothing less than a capital city of middle age Serbian state), and a great battles who run there with old Ottoman conquerors in one of their way to north. Just see that tiny fortress and imagine defense against 20-30-50.000 soldiers of Ottoman empire, and three months lasting siege .... Incredible

    On a 2-day business trip again, not hard as last month, and half of my brain is with CS, thinking about further strategy of my modeling when finish other side with panels 1. I must be precise the most I can 2. I must be patient always. No rush, no nervousness (ha !) 3. I must over-detail model, as much it is possible 4. Cover and mask every mistake when it is possible 5. Correct every mistake if it dont require start from zero 6. Study and analyze plans more carefully ( all plans I have) about every single detail, and compare with pictures on Net I am also interested what will be to the end Edit: 7. Always say (lie) to yourself :" Yes, Nenad, you exactly know what you are doing"

    And another thing I though this days. It is not accidentally situation in order of singular modeling works and every stage of work Now I know : Planking first and mounting deck second. I did it reverse, and later run directly in problems that can not be recovered by no means ( remaking front deck and lifting it up to get some space under, broke some lines ... luckily, on that "broken" position there will be toilet houses to mask ... also as you look carefully on some mine pictures - over-width the deck lead to over-width nail and deadeye holder in the middle section of deck... I will post of it later when come time to resolve this) Happy me

    Hello to you In Serbia, it is no mouch better situation - there are only a few hobby stores with poor offer, and no cooper stuff. Pay-pal do not live in Serbia jet, so we can not bz stuff over Internet (legaly). So, I must find cooper or Zunc foil ( that I can bye in Belgrade) anf make my own coopering strips. When time comes, of course . And before that, I intend to put second layer of planking with veneer, and to paint AFTER that stage. And ( I hope) all mistakes will be covered and masked

    And after 6 working hours, here they are Upper strip is not mounted, I put it just for visuallisation purpose. Clear and proper upper line of panels will be done later when time come to put that strip on its place Comparing with picture above it seems that scaling is OK Some little corrections with sadolin (the composition of columns and panels) will be done latter And of course, MISTAKE !!!!!! There are 38 parts. Wrong positioning by 0,1 mm reflects on 3,8 mm misplaced on whole section. Wrong positioning by 1 mm only reflects on almost 4 cm misplaced panel. I was somewhere in the middle , and two of 38 parts - disappear - somewhere. When I reach final point , there were two panels left in box !?!?! I hope that I repeat exactly the same mistake on other side Will anybody see it, when whole work will be finished ? Who knows. I do not believe. Deck of CS is pretty crowded with furniture, deck-houses, and many other stuff, and there is almost a jungle above deck - enormous forest of ropes and sails ... which are ... I think we will agree - the essence of every model of every sail ship. ( or I am comforting myself ...) Anywhere, bravely go forward in new victories and in new mistakes
