  1. Small update.. cutting out and gluing inner and outer upper hull pieces together. Edge coloring with soft pastel chalks. Last photo shows the start of adding lower hull parts.
  2. Have finished stage 1.. cut the required parts from 1mm cardboard, and glued in place.
  3. 1st Century Galilee Boat 1:32 A Schreiber-Bogen model 4 pages of parts..1 piece of 1mm grey cardboard for gluing up one page of parts.. plus simple diagrams for instructions. Was given this model a few years back as a birthday gift.(if your not working on it the very next day, you must hate the model). Now that she has long forgotten, I plan on finishing by Easter as a surprise. We shall see how that works out!!
  4. Model is about 14" tall.. Base is a jar lid filled with wall putty. Checkered floor is a texture I downloaded, as I wanted a dance floor/stage look. Touch-ups done with pastel chalks, and several light sprayed coats of "Future" to blend it all together.
  5. Really like the idea of the work base out of foam! Will make use of that..
  6. I'm a big fan of these early American historic pieces, so I was happy to see this kit become available. Printed it out.. sealed the colors with "Future" clear polish. Was impressed by the clear diagrams, and the option of building the barrel in two different ways. Built over 10 yrs ago. Build log here.. https://www.papermodelers.com/forum/ships-watercraft/13261-turtle-submarine-1-12-heinkel-model.html
  7. Hello Chris.. you commented on this build ears ago https://www.papermodelers.com/forum/aviation/18884-1-72-yokosuka-b4y1-jean.html the publisher disappeared some time back!
