Lotus 7 Replica Haynes Roadster Build
Tumblehome replied to J Snyder's topic in Completed non-ship models
A superb job, well done. Do be careful. I've known a guy who crashed and burned in his. -
Like others watching this thread, I'm amazed to see each instalment. Just got my own Airfix Vasa kit, after reviewing Michael's previous build, much to the same scale. Opening the box, I'm already scratching my head! It illustrates the potential these kits have for those who dare.

Forgive me for being so late to this remarkable build. Would you please explain what type of thread/cordage you are employing (or at least indicate which page of this thread you may have first described it).

This build is a brilliant example of 'proper' hand craft model making. So impressive, thank you.

What a lovely little model, Ab. A delight to behold, thanks for sharing. I've just discovered your last set of images on THIS forum are jpg files! (unlike all the previous which are png). A welcome revalation.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
