Looks like I may be able to offer as an option a Hornblower figure, too. Or a tall thin young lieutenant...

Wow you really get a sense of her size with the shots of the sub deck and your arm!
Will be watching this closely, as like many other people here I am saving my pennies.
Mind you Santa might be good to me this year……….

Lots of lovely detail on these sheets. I particularly like the look of the veneer which will cover the stem.

I was going to do these with just my hand at the end of the hull, but thought these gave a better sense of proportion!

This photo shows the standard ply engraved section for the lower deck. As I've said, you'll be hard pressed to see this stuff, unless you're an ant that's crawled in. But in case you are, or have that endoscope I mentioned, the detail is there in part. Here you see the ply engraved part along with the optional maple deck section which I have opted to use for this build.
The deck section is now glued into place.
Two, 2-part grates are now built and added.
And of course, you'll need some steps down to the dinky orlop deck.
These two beams are now added, again without glue.
These two beams hole them firmly in place and are located with two pegs each, glued into the slots.
And lastly for this update, a whole raft of deck beams are fitted between those two longitudinal parts.
Until next time!

Amati have a range of crew in various sizes. 25mm is the close to 1/64, depending on the original height of the crew member.

He has done a fine job, as usual.
Pity about the sail set situation. I cannot release this kit until this problem is sorted, very frustrating. The Spanish made sails are now in the refuse bin, where they belong, and a hard lesson learned for me.

A hard lesson, perhaps, but I would think definitely the right choice. Having just rigged my model of Lady Isabella with the high quality sails, and given the completed model to my mum for her 70th birthday, the sails were the thing that set the whole model off, gave it a striking silhouette, and made it really stand out. They're beautifully made, and I was very glad I'd paid the extra to have them. It's a big thank you from me for holding to your high standards! I hope your new stock arrives soon. I'm sure any patience required will be well worth it!

Been a while, life 😜
Relatively straightforward second planking.
I worked my way down from the engraved outer bulwark until the counter was covered. Then I decided to work from the garboard up. I find it easier to fit steelers from the garboard up.
This final picture shows a tricky little area. There is a gap at the counter where it meets the sternpost. Need to think how to make that look acceptable. Any suggestions are most welcome.

Productive Easter weekend. First planking on, needs a bit of sanding, but reasonably happy with this.
I did crowd the planks at the counter. For my next model I will split the hull into bands to give me a better idea of the run of the planks.

Time for the first plank. However when I offered up the plank it was below the level of the counter. A shim was added to fix. A bit of plank bending and the first one is on
