Very effective, OC. Not an easy thing to pull off. Can't wait to see this in the dio.

That was my initial thoughts - how to get a natural look - so I bent some of the legs using the hair dryer and brute force, and messed around with their arms etc.

I think it's a very tough trick to pull off. I've seen a lot of dioramas where casualties are essentially standing figures cut off their bases and placed lying down. They don't have the slumped look you see in paintings and photos and rather spoil the appearance. I think you have it sorted out.

Looks very good OC. The pile will look very convincing when it's in place. It's going to be a cracking diorama

Evening all, my little pile up is finished apart from an airbrush flat coat to protect it.

As some former military might say... "Stack 'em. Pack 'em. And rack 'em." Looks great, OC.

OC, you could try the stick method a lot of sign painters use when painting a company name on their glass doors/windows. I would get a 1/4 or 3/8 inch diameter Maple (or other hard wood) dowel, put a rubber tip on one end, start with a 24 or 36 inch length, trim to comfort. It should be long enough to span your diorama and rest the rubber tip on a work table surface. Hold the other end with one hand , rest your painting hand on the stick. I've seen professional sign painters use one and it's amazing how steady they can be.

You could leave that detail off the troops that are very difficult to get at, only you and we few here would know🤫

Can you ground your wrist out on the building walls or roof?
