Really impressive nice work, can I ask - are you going to flatten the wood work down so it has a mat finish? as I assume that how natural wood would have looked. OC.

What supprises me is - so little depth in the water, only looks like about twenty feet or so, thats so little for so much weight, as a comparison HMS Hood was near 40 feet. OC.

Excellent work dave and what a great idea putting the covers for the oar cut outs ontop instead of having to cut them into the hull, I should have a thought of that when I built my Frigate. OC.

I have been following the story of the news about Trafalgar being sent quickly to England, firstly in your build then by various horse and carriage to London - very very intersting to follow - https://twitter.com/LtLapenotiere OC.

This is Truly excellent work with the stairs, in most cases with ship builds - not enouth scale space is given for the stairs vs the frame, meaning in real life sailors would be banging thier heads against the deck framework, similar I have seen with scale distance for the deck widths - there should be twice plus a third the length of a gun from the bulwark to the frame of the gratings. OC.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
