In the meantime, I just wonder: do I need any special rope material for the serving except those of the kit? Especially for the line that is encircling each mainrope, what kind of material and size is needed? Thank you all, one more time. Stergios -

I agree Eamonn, I'll send a query to be sure that I can remove the motor to turn the procedure to a manual function.... Cheers -

Hello again mates. About that additional power option of the serving machine.... Do you consider it as an important feature except the basic 2.0 edition of the serving machine? Thanks -

Cheers Eamonn I'll try to melt the debris the way you mentioned, thank you! About the serving tool.... is not a matter of money, is a matter of time! I believe that thte remaining time to finish "Snake" will be seriously increased with serving, that's why I continue to resist and try to do my best to accomplish the rigging section without any serving machine... Thanks again... Stergios -
Echo this! How are you trimming those knots Jim?

Trying to fit the burton pendants... I used black line 1mm from the kit and passed it three times on natural wax.... The wax's debris are inevitable (?) especially on the black rope... Last pic after the debridement and a light black paint... -
Fine work Jim, I like that contrast to the shrouds. Do u use the lines of the kit or aftermarket supplies? Have u used any kind of beewax in advance? Thanks.

A lot of questions...about the shrouds and the mizzen mast... Should I start making loops in the middle of each line and creating that way a double line running towards a respective pair of deadeyes? At what distance from the mast should I make the seizing of each pair of line? Thank you all. -

Hi Jason, do you have any information about the length of the burton pendants? Is there any length difference between those of mizzen mast and those of main mast? I'm studying "Rigging period ship models" but olny the plans are illustrated.... Thanks.

I think that the best option is to form this kind of loop for the double 55mm block. It seems more historically accurate, I don't know whether exist any comment for this... Thanks -

Hi Mort and thank you. Did you place it in the middle of the last crosstree? -

Hi everybody, as a question, in brief..: that K (5mm double block): it is a single one in the middle of the last crosstree of the mizen-lowermast or it is a pair of blocks arising from each tressletree? I was looking all the evening your posts and pics with no clear result. Thanks for sharing. Stergios
