No, Dave, I think I might be getting a little old to crawl up on a yardarm to hoist sails, so I'm just going to build the model. I would love to do the month thing on board. It costs $1,500 for 2 weeks, then $300 per week afterwards with permission from the Captain to do the training cruises. What fun. Would have been nice to do.

Hi guys, I thought everyone would enjoy seeing this sign.  Says a lot of how people have always percieved sailors.  I remember in Norfolk back in the 60's there were signs in peoples yards saying "Sailors and Dogs Keep off the Grass".

I'm now in Camden, Maine.  Managed to get there and be at the beginning of the Windjammer Festival.  There are 18 Masted Schooners in port.  Saw the last one coming in and being moored.  Will add pictures.  Here are pictures of Thursday's meal of the day, followed by last night's meal of the day.  Then some pictures of the ships.

I'll repeat the process again today especially for you Augie....these guys slept in the same bay hours before I ate it.....these people catch their own lobsters and then cook them for you....    These pictures show the place, Waterman's Lobster Shack, the Bay, Spruce Head Bay, and the boat in the background is what caught them, also some "lobster pots"

OK Wayne, sorry I'm too far south to try to meet up with you.  We're going south from here.  Eating lots of Lobster, and enjoying every minute of it.  Thanks for the picture of the two colored lobster.  We were talking to people here in the industry and they hadn't heard about it.  I knew I saw it a while back so I'm glad I'm not going senile yet!  So you must live up in the Cairibu area?  I've been to Bar Harbor before, but we decided we didn't want to go that far.  I love the Camden, Rockland area, so that's why we're here.....can't find Lobster Pounds though.  It's different here.  But good Lobster Rolls and typical boiled Lobsters.

Hi John,

I love the see something from the world.

When i look at the difference of our country's ,it amazing.

Normally I have to look at the television to something else then our flat country…..

You have so many diversity like, mountains, planes, desserts, forrest, endless roads.

We only have city's, city's and a few more city's.

When Wayne was on the move he was driving for days and still in his own country.

When I'm driving for days i'm passing 12 difference country's with all difference languages, currency and all kind of stuff.

For us it's unbelievable that you can drive so many hours without seeing someone…….

Maybe that's why we are travellers?

We always want to see what's behind the horizon and in the USA that's possible, not in Holland.

There is no horizon  only city's !

I'm doing just fine.

On friday I go back to work and goes on the daily routine…..

Driving the bus again in Rotterdam….

Make fun with the passengers.

Thanks for asking my friend.

Enjoy your trip and I will wait for the next pictures from your beautiful country.

Thanks for that !!!!!!

Good morning Sjors, it is good to hear from you.  Yes, I shall continue to provide you a photographic tour of my travels.  We have driven 3,000 miles since we left home.  About 2,300 of those miles is how far we are away from home, with the balance being our touring miles in the areas we have visited.  From here we go south to Boston, then to Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Anapolis Maryland, Virginia, and eventually down to Florida.  It took us a month to get here in Maine, and will take at least a month or more to reach Florida.  Break out the popcorn.....

Update for today. Went to Woolwich, Maine along the coast to a place called A Taste of Maine. Had fried shrimp and Haddock for dinner. First time this week without lobster. For you Sjors, some rustic pictures of this area of Maine. Like bogs, and of course it's been raining all night and day here. Glad I didn't have to pack up and move locations today....we saw many cold, wet campers having to pack and move this morning im some very hard rains.

Hi Popeye,

We have had every bit of 3 inches last night and today, and it is still raining.  We've been just fine, nice dry RV trailer and a good awning.  I was outside cooking bacon this morning watching the people in pop-ups, trying to figurre out how to fold one up in pouring rain.....cold, wet rain.....they were miserable and soaked.  It unfortunately was amusing to watch and not have to be doing it.  I really felt for them, but couldn't help but laugh (with them not at them)  at the unimaginable misery they were going through.  They will have stories to laugh at forever with their kids.   Just thankful that we didn't have to leave today.  Western Maine is flooding.

Hi Lawrence, yes getting damp, but I'll only be here another day, then down to Boston. Looks like snow in northern Ontario. Not ready for that though. We are really enjoying the cooler weather. It was 106 F yesterday at home. One thing nice about the east coast is lot's of sailing ships to see. Thanks for following along....trying to provide our European and Aussie friends with some views of our beautiful landscapes here.

Well, I am currently in Clinton, Ct., and tomorrow will visit the Morgan in Mystic.  Update pictures will follow for the venture getting here, then I will post as many pictures of the real thing, the museum, and the models that I can take for reference for anyone interested in this ship.  I'm going to miss my friend Lester, who is an interpreter for the ship, as he is still a working stiff...lol., but seriously, he can't make it because he does have to work.  so I'm on my own, unlike the Constitution where I had Henry.  More to follow.....
