At ScapaFlow, Sms grosse Kurfuerst (same class) ended upside down, you can see the place of the rudders quite good on these pictures.

 

they are slightly inside the propshafts.

sometimes, inside the hull,  the dimples where the holes are located can be seen.   looks like you have them correct to me

This has me curious one of the five turrents has this on the top antenna  ?

I would think given the time period that it was possibly a local gun control range finder for either that turret or possibly both of them. If I am looking right these are the stern most turrets. There may be another "antenna" located somewhere forward but not on the turret roof. 

 

It could also be a radio direction finder. It will be interesting what someone with real knowledge comes up with!

 

Given the way the two turrets are aimed it looks like it is not working all that well anyway.

Hey everyone been a little busy but managed to finish the main guns  , except for paint .

Shading  ? They are painted mounts are next .

Shading, it means you add dark and light sections on it before you overspray with the diluted colour, establishing depth and highlights. Now you have an even colour all over the turrets, whilst if you use shading, you add some artificial depth to them. HAve a look at this build:

Hull is primed and the waterline is marked.

Got a coat of red on thinking the protrusion in the hull is a torpedo tube .

Don't see this tow ring ? On the plans so I made a few so when they dry I will see which one fits best .

My first successful use of a photo etch part learned not to be stingy with the glue , also found a actual hobby shop only a couple miles from my house.
