My names Dwight ( no I wasn't named after a President or a CW singer ) and I'm a retired chemistry teacher. I've been building models as long as I can remember but just decided to add shipwright to my resume'. I've kinda started a build log and may actually continue it if the results of the build aren't awful. I'll try and enclose a pic of one of my last RR build so to prove I'm not completely daft1384131804_IMG_0212(1).thumb.JPG.aea2aec1b2cc0549be06a8852168c1a6.JPG trying this ship thing.

Welcome to MSW from Central Texas.   Very nice railroad model/diorama.  As for the ship building, remember it is not a competition.  We are here to enjoy and share the hobby, learn a few things, develop our skills, pass the time, and in some cases use swear words.  :)  It's all good....

Me thinks being daft is not optional, it's a prerequisite. 🤔

Gidday Dwight and a warm welcome from the Land Downunder.

What a fantastic diorama.

You will find loads of support and encouragement here.

When you encounter an issue or you are unsure I encourage you to ask questions.

Your previous modelling experience will be a definite bonus.

Wishing you all the best in your build.

Mark.

I both appreciate and am envious of your work. I learn a lot from seeing pics of not so good efforts. My cousin is retired navy living in Texas and my granddaughter is finishing combat medic training at fort Sam. Will you be posting more photos of your trains?
