Model boat kits on Ebay

I don't know if it is permitted to discuss on this forum, but I have seen many Chinese / Russian sellers on Ebay and Ali Express selling reproduction pob boat kits , and wonder how they can be sold so cheaply . Has anyone here had any experience of buying and constructing these kits ?

In short, because they bypass the R & D costs of producing a kit by copying the designs of others. See the topic below.

OK Chris , I have read the article now regarding these banned fake companies  and totally agree with you that they should not be made legitimate on MSW. I se it as a whole political can of worms once you question their morals .

Not long ago one of the Chinese companies offered me one of their kits for free as long as I built it and posted on the forums I am on . I told them I would never build rip off kits and I would no way published their kits on forums no matter how much they offer me . As said steer clear of these cheap ripoffs .
