That’s ok I still remember! I just wish I had a new cool technique to share, but I just hand painted them. 
I painted all the black first. Then I went back and painted the white stripes. This way allowed me paint from the sides and have a little touch up in some of the black areas.

I just remember something!! At the hobby stores you can get polystyrene strips and sheets. They are extremely flexible and come in a ton of different sizes and they are already white. I’ve used them mostly to make cooling fins for my planes!

Thanks a lot Thomas, I make them from brass wire. I was just wondering how you did it. I tried to paint them like you did but I didn't succeed. You have a scale modeling background so you are much better at painting than I am.

The styrene solution is the one employed in the Hunt practicum. It's a fairly easy material to work with and may have been an easier route for you to take, Mustafa.

 

But yours is definitely an out of the box  alternative solution.

 

And, the more I look at Unegawahya's work, the more I'm impressed.
