My name is Robert. Been a cabinet maker for the better part of 35 years. Built and flown RC aircraft most of my life. Started oil painting about 9 years ago. Built a 17 ft. Sea kayak from cedar strips. I love the challenge and details that a wooden ship model presents. I'll be attempting the Corel 1:98 HMS VICTORY for my first build. I've been so impressed by the caliber of skill and helpfulness from this site. I am open to any and all suggestions. Thank you for sharing your work and allowing me the privilege of being a part of your world.

Hello from a fellow PNWer from north of you. Make that three on the Kayak. Impressive work to put it mildly. With skills and patience like that, unlike most of us mere mortals, you should be able to handle the Corel Victory as a first build. Looking forward to following your build if you would be so kind as to post it.

Welcome to MSW, Robert.   As others have said, do start a build log.  It's the best way to meet other builders and also to get help when you need it.
