Hi Pete,

Looking great, just started on this kit myself.

What Matt Varnish are you using?

The smaller bottle I had from previous use , so used that mostly on the deck and hull  until it was empty , then started to use the larger bottle

Got to work on the rudder . In preparing the rudder by shaping the top to fit into the hull , I managed to snap off the top portion. I tried to reattach , but was not very successful. Eventually I attached a short piece of 3mm dowel , pinned a nd glued and that took care of the problem

I am very much a weekend warrior , nothing happens during the week , so rest assured it will be a while

Hi, with quite a few HMS Beagle builds going on simultaneously , its interesting to see how different issues are being dealt with , also as to the process of the build . All seem to be doing great. This is my contribution. Installed the stairs and the wheel

Apologies for the typo, just saw it now , 😴should have read "yours looking good too "

No worries :)

It took me way back to my school days when my reports would have "could try harder" written on them.  That was a long time ago now.  I thought I had got better.  I guess it doesn't hurt to keep trying a little harder.

Thanks for sharing the progress, it looks great (I'm just an observer, I'm going to start my first kit) this is one of those historic ships that many of us would like to be able to make someday.

I will follow it with attention in case I decide one day to try it.

Greetings

Gus
