I've been building period ships for some time now (Admiralty board model of HMS Halifax, several kits etc.) and have branched into half-hull models for the past bit. I especially like the half-hulls: makes me want to dig out the drawings I made a year ago for a half-hull HMS Union. Looking forward to seeing a build log.
