Does This Wood Model Ship Have Any Monetary Value?

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Can anyone give me any info on this ship? It has no name or markings on it. Any value? Thanks.

I'm 99.9% certain that this is a finished model of Lila Dan from the Billing Boats kit. Because it is a kit model, a civilian vessel rather than a man-of-war, and is not built to a particularly high standard, its monetary value is very low. See the article here.

I doubt you could give it away as is, not a particularly interesting model and not at all well made

If it is a family heirloom the value to you is what you put on it.

If you are thinking about a monetary value you might try a garage sale or post on Ebay or similar site and hope there is someone that likes the look of this vessel and does not remember the quote often attributed to P. T. Barnum.

I think it would be easy to sell the model to someone in northern Europe that knows what Lilla Dan is.

The model is in the old version, the one you could buy now is a modernised later version.

I would say 2-300 euro.

You have to remember that those who are on this site have a critical eye. The general public wouldn't look at this model the same way. Put it up on Ebay and see where things go.
