Hoi Cees,  thank you for looking at my builds.

Roden eh?  What a coincidence, my Admiral, my dear wife's brother in-law lives in Roden.  Many, many years ago on one of our visits to see family we stayed with him and his wife, Gwen's oldest sister.  Gwen's sister died a several years ago though.  I doubt that we will be visiting family in Holland again, but one never knows what the future brings.

His name is Henk Kars and lives at Staten Laan 57.  9301RJ.  If and when you see him say hi from me  :)

Henk is a retired trade school teacher and director, he is good with tools and how to handle them.  Hnady to have as a friend  ;)

Have you started cutting wood yet?  Am very anxious in following your build.

Right now my VOC ship seems to be on hold in favor for my father's submarine, the O 19.

Hello,

As I promised here is the first foto of the new"Willem Barentzs"

I made the keel this time in a frame and started with the fruktons .

It is a slow proces in this way of working ,but I find it relaxing work after a day of labor.

I'll hope Yoy all can see some thing in it already

Hi Cees!

This is an interesting project. Do you know the name of the ship? I thought they are building a replica in Harlingen but that you'll know better for sure.

I asume that it is the ship he used to sail to Nova Zembla?

Good luck and have fun.

Cheers,

Jack (Sittard - NL)

Good morning Cees,

Happy birthday. I hope you have a great day.

Van harte gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag, maak er een mooie dag van.

It's a pity your first model didn't work out.

Good luck with your second Willem Barentzs.

Cees,

Looking good. Do ou keep some of the deck open to show the inner parts of the ship?
