Time to do a short introduction. Been lurking a while now. I see some questions and inquiries coming down the road, so I thought it time to post. I have been a fly tyer for over 40 years now. I have built quite a few plastic models with my grandson, although that’s been a few years. Still build an occasional model, mostly aircraft. I’m retired in Florida living the good life, after spending nearly 40 years in Alaska. Have fallen down the wooden ship model building rabbit hole pretty far. It checks a bunch of interest and enjoyment boxes.  I’m finding the history of sail to be fascinating and quite an unexpected interest. Joined the local chapter and am now in the process of putting the Lowell Grand Banks Dory together. Gabbard planks going on next. The kit was given to me by the local chapter. Very kind, thank you! I’m look forward to learning, making new friends and enjoying the process.

Welcome! Sit back build and enjoy MSW. I found many great people here and I am sure you will too. I was a lone builder for many years then I found MSW and its nice to have other people I can share my build headaches with and nine out of ten times someone on MSW will have a solution to my problem.
Best Rick
