    thanks , yea....like there's a storm coming......and i'm trying to make a pile of pieces and fit them together to make a shelter....no idea what anything's called....if it looks right....glue it and try to make it weather proof.......

    golly o gosh hubac....how'd you find that?!!!...thought i found every reference to the couronne available....sheesh.....thanks mucho..... sure nice to see....is it a digital construct?..never thought of checking the saint louis.....was always confused between the couronne and saint louis....maybe they were sister ships......was thinking of adding that sun deck midships...but wasn't sure if the lifeboat would be comfortable there, or was it too flimsy a construct to support, and too high.....maybe i should call the ship la couronne saint louis......and thanks for your support, as it is built mainly on desire, with minimum knowledge....... as much as i'd like to be able to sell it sometime, i doubt in these times, if there would be anyone interested....but after sea trials with videos etc, i may make an effort to find the person who has everything :)....i sold my last one at auction as i didn't know what else to do....i thought it would be my last one hahaha.....i'll probably die with my fingers stuck to a hull with crazy glue....but i can't handle the glue and dust anymore, so this and the confederacy, will be the end of it.....maybe go back to practicing the piano, which i quit last year.....sooooo...que sera sera.....cheers...and ho ho ho:)

    well..........i'm getting there.......still have to figure out a way to make reef lines that hang down :).....and coil dozens of ropes although the cannons are basically rigged.........wishing everyone the best in the new year.....haha...i left the accelerator on deck......

    microscope slides.....never liked plastics...............easy to clean and easy to remove overpaint....micro shapers....never knew....too late for me now though .....windows lookin good...........

    keep it up!....all the power to you.........never get tired of waiting when there is something waiting for :)..........and the perfection of the lines of that hull is beyond breathtaking................i keep looking at it over and over...........

    haha....i'm the epitome of laziness...............i just get a long block of wood, cut the shape by running it across a little table saw, lightly sand, then slice off the pieces with a fine tooth band saw....end up having to sand the sides a bit, but that's easy.......

    hmmmm...i tried heat to reshape a hull once.....failed.....warped very unevenly and had soft spots.....but i was a more impatient fellow then.....whatever you do....go sloooooooowly ...and my heart is with you...i'd love to see it work well .....

    sails........dying didn't work out too well so i left them somewhat off white........and the flags were printed on the silk covered ink-jet paper......not sure if they'll be permanent, but good enough for now........ i sprayed them with a uv protector by krylon......now...a lot of nitty gritty finishing and fixing stuff to do.....

    of course, one could have done this or had done that.....but i love the creativity, and challenge, of hubac doing this build, while digging into the history and imagination, to create a much closer rendition of the ship that heller, in spite of their limitations, went out on a limb to create.....who's manufacturing anything like this these days?......just bang bang video games.....that's where all the michael angelos, and da vinci's of today are.....creating backdrops and scenery for movies and video games ......in a way this is an expression of deep respect and appreciation for the heller company.......

    me too ca.......but it seems there's nothing i can do till next spring-summer, and summers way up here in burns lake bc, are really short.....but god willing ...it will happen
