    Hah! Thanks Greg!!!

Somehow, I think that Mt Everest will really get the best of me, but it'd be fun trying....

On the other hand, I'll definitely keep the photos coming.

    Stay tuned for tomorrow's update.

    Cheers and thanks

She's beautiful Robb! Must feel great to see how all your hard work paid off. If you place your right hand on your left shoulder and your left hand on the right, it should feel like someone is hugging you. Well done.

Thanks Ian ,I think the main thing i have learned from this build is not to be afraid to do your own thing and see how it turns out  ,although often when searching through other logs or books i have to remind myself i am building a model not a replica of the real ship and decisions then become easier. If your build continues to the same standard as your present planking i rekon you will certainly have a build to be proud off . I hope to be back at the Vic soon and be able to let you see now the shortened masts turn out before you make any drastic decisions.

Love everything you've done on this ship Boyd. I have learned and copied much from your build and will continue to. I personally like the way you've gone with the masts and rigging and may yet go that way myself. Keep up the splendid work.
    Best, Ian

Thanks so much Wes, Ken, David, Grant and Mark for the nice comments and also the "likes". Greatly appreciated.

David, I would have been inclined to do so, but Chuck's plans do not show a built up rudder.

That's a nice piece of wood for a base, and should make a beautiful finish to set her on.

I started with card stock patterns of the gun deck. I have added comments to the pictures to be self explanatory.

I hope all had a great holiday season. We had the best gift of all; our son and daughter-in-law are having twins in June.

Well after several weeks of patience, I've completed the ratlines. Well almost. I have to finish the ratlne steps that are near the ends of the shrouds - two each on the remaining three. And the good news is I finally had enough rope. Sorry Chuck...

This is a bit of a milestone so I'm happy. Took a bit longer than expected (as always). Well onward and upward, now I can concentrate on yards and booms. Still trying to figure out the sail configuration... I also have a lot of detail/cleanup work to do - rope coiling, fixing/finishing small stuff... but will enjoy this milestone for a day and then move forward.

    Hi Dennis, welcome back.
Thanks for all the great accolades. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve, unfortunately I can't put her in a case...I just don't have enough room in the house, and we might be going full time in the RV soon. Holidays were great, hope the same for you. I'm glad you like the Morgan.....she's way more than I ever expected possible....come back soon....there's still a little left to go yet...

oh....my.....god John..........she looks absolutely beautiful!   I'm ashamed to tell you how many pages I had to catch up on.......so many great progress pictures       I like the blocks you used......they look so natural for the ship.......and they add so much detail.   the whale boats add a lot as well......all the added detail      congratz on the finish of this fine vessel....{I read that she was finished}...I am so happy for you      now the stand.........and there had better be a case in store for her as well.......I quite agree on the preservation of her beauty.

I hope the holidays turned out to be all you had hoped!

Tim, none of my individual photos is over 2MB or even 1 MB, however I was trying to post a sequence of 12 photos to show the deck build. I even tried only posting only half with no success. Will keep trying when I get a break in building.
    Thanks.

Tim, just went back and checked all images sizes, the largest one is the one above at 541K.
