I sand the deck once completed and varnish after the deck furniture is in place.

Great job. Keep up the great work. Love the signal flags and royal monograms. I regret not doing the monograms.

I bought my kit in 2005.

No worries. I used 3.5 mm Model Shipways bullseyes for them which I also sanded thinner and drilled out a bit and their 2.5 mm bulleyes for the traveler rings.
Can't thank you enough for your input.

Hi Robert,
In post #440 3/13/22 it looks like you put hearts or bulleyes around the stop cleats on the bowsprit. Where did you get them and what size are they. I guess they're 3.5 and 5mm.
Your build has been a great help to me.
Keep up the great work,

I too trimmed off the excess.

I too had issues with the flag lockers. Tried filing the shelf slots and tapering the sides to no avail. Finally ordered another set from Caldercraft and that set fit perfectly together.
I love what you did with the skylight. Wish I would have thought of it.
Keep up the great work,

Hi Ian,
Just noticed the rammers, sponges etc. by your carrages. Where did you get them?

Hi Robert,
Also what size thread did you use for the mat head lashings? Don't see it in the manual.
Thanks,

Hi Robert,
Really appreciate your log. It's fantastic. What size line did you use to rig the foremast 10mm blocks?
Thanks,

As long as the standing rigging is firmly set, aligned and you're happy with it you should be fine. The running rigging never effected anything to do with my standing rigging. I am careful when I belay each line and very rarely had a problem.
Hope this helps.
Keep up the great work and stay safe,
Mort

Sorry also meant to also include that CMB has 1.8 Caldercraft Rigging thread.
-
Syren Ship Models has 2.0 dark brown rigging thread.
Hope this helps. Keep up your outstanding work.

Read "Nelson's Favourite HMS Agamemnon at War 1781-1809" by Anthony Deane. It's a very interesting biography of the ship.
