Hi Carl, you're right, I'll have to pass a piece of rope on the barrels to simulate the binding.Mauro -

I finished the cover of the bridge and I placed some barrels in a part of the hold. These barrels will remain visible in the case of the hatch opening. Originally I wanted to leave visible on both sides of the hold but I decided to place over the hatch a small boat, so on the one hand the hold will remain closed over the boat. Mauro -

Thanks Hartmut, follow with attention your model, all the boats typical of my land interest me very much, especially those that are made by modelers in other countries. Good luck with your Pinco.Mauro -

Hi Hartmut, the saettia should be, in my opinion, the ancestor of pinco , the similarities are many. Time ago I realized I also a model of "Pinco Genovese", I am attaching a photo, even if it is of good quality. I wish to make a beautiful model !!! Wishes for a happy Christmas to you and all members of the forum and your family.Mauro -

Hi Nils, my sails are all sewn by hand, do not have a sewing machine ....... and do not know the use !!! The sails may look a little different from each other just because they are hand sewn and the seams, despite the efforts, are slightly different from each other. Once finished the work on the sails hope that a pass with the iron makes them more uniform. Reciprocate the good wishes, I wish you and your family and friends a Merry Christmas !!! Mauro -

Hi Hans, the plans do not exist on the market, I used those developed by a talented naval model maker who began building a few years ago the same model. I do not know if he has completed the construction, I hope to do it ...........

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
