Yes ! The Hughes Glomar Explorer raised the Soviet Golf II class ballistic missile nuclear submarine K-129 from 17,000 ft in the Pacific for the CIA/Navy back in 1969ish. See CIA built the Hughes Glomar Explorer ......

My route mail carrier is great. He never fails to bring my packages to the door, but when he's off or on vacation, all bets are off.
Same here

I had to install a battery powered motion detector by my front door because, UPS, USPS and FedEx drivers all drop packages by door but NEVER ring doorbell. Came out one night around 11 pm, found pkg by door, another night found one completely soaked in torrential rain we were having that night. So now the motion sensor goes off and we look outside. Never hear the trucks pull up in front of house.

Don't know how expensive it would be to ship from California to Scotland, but I used to purchase a lot of archival storage supplies for my photography from Light Impressions. They used to be in Rochester NY but moved to California decades ago, I haven't purchased anything from them in a long while but when I did, their products were super good quality as was their service.

Some of the German frikadella would also be good on a grill
I knew German immigrants created the American hamburger, naming it after their town in Germany, what I did not know until I looked it up was that it evolved from frikadella. In fact the way I make mine is close to theirs. I make mine using dry Lipton brand French Onion or Onion Mushroom soup mix with 2 lbs of 80-20 ground beef.
German immigants also created the Zweigles brand hot dogs pictured above, which btw can only be found within a 50-75 mile radius from Rochester NY, unless you can find a Wegmans grocery store near you.
Happy grilling my friends.

My favorite was attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Watkins Glen every fall for a number of years. We did not sit in the stands. We started at the Start/Finish line, walked the outfield side of the track stopping here and there to photograph the cars at speed, crossed into infield thru pedestrian tunnels under the course for more photos, stopping at the chicane for more photos, passing again under the track back to the outfield, finally getting back to the Start/Finish line as the race ended. Great time until Uncle Sam said he wanted me. Left the area after that and didn't get back.

Kinda like the Admiral saying "I was thinking" and getting the response "did it hurt?" 😁😁😁😁

Forgot you were using oils not acrylics. I switched to acrylics after the demise of Floquil.

My method is to use Tamiya tape wide enough to do the whole hull in a single run of tape. Then trace the came pattern onto the tape, using a sharp blade cut out the area to be painted blue. Burnish the tape edge a bit. Then pour a small amount of paint into one of those small egg carton style plastic palettes from Michaels or wherever, dip the brush in water first, pick up some paint from pallette brushing from tape onto hull so paint doesn't creep under tape edge, I fill in the camo area.
Dipping the brush in water first then paints, thins it enough for my work.
But your camo looks good to me.

I'm in two minds whether to watch from the easy chairs or the hammocks, as Lou says they're really comfortable
Come join the hammock crowd! We are high enough we can shuck peanuts and toss the shells down below. 😁

gotta get me a plane like that!
Yea, it is a very good miniature plane. I have their entire collection. I just saw in their Christmas catalog that they introduced a Miniature bench vise to their collection. Very very tempted to add on to mine, should be pretty easy to adapt to miniature boat building.

I thought there was a College Park MD.
Edit: There is
The City of College Park is in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, and is approximately four miles (6.4 km) from the northeast border of Washington, D.C.
