Hegner (Swiss, I believe) are the Rolls-Royce of scroll saws, and commensurately expensive. Frolick is a fortunate fellow to own one. Almost as good, but much less expensive, is the DeWalt 778. I've used this saw for 15 years. It works beautifully and vibration-free.

Small update.
I have create the masts but not painted yet !
I will start painting this afternoon and somewhere next week you will see the painted result.
A few more things to do before the masts are totally finished.
But first.....painting time

That`s a very fine compliment Peter,
many thanks to you, Slowly there are some more "Swan Class" gun sloops, next to yours completed, and coming in the near end phase, trust there will be a real fleet with MSW one day....
You`re right with the imagination of forklift moving of those cases. The KWdG Hull is looking at me all the time, and saying..... I`ll need an appr. 1500 mm long dust protection case one day, what are you going to do about it ?.....

Update display case....
Base with positioning pins and top cover (glassed) done, now the sides need to be framed and fitted....
all wood is stained in cherry tone

the top cover has excatly the same outer dimensions as the base frame
here the brass pins can be seen in place (in 6 places)

Name for standplate and start of display case
the standplate gets two identical nameplates, depending which side will be turned to front later on. The glass display case will be L x W x H , 90 x 26 x 75 cm,
The wooden base and the framework will be stained in cherry tone, before the parts are mounted. The ordered glass panes and the reinforcement metal corners I am holding already

I made some models of sanding tools from HDD parts.
I will try to explain with picture how i made.
Also i made my "new" power supply from computer power supply.
take the cover off
remove heads
take out magnets and other parts
glue paper sand on one of the platans.
Al so for the vertical sanding, use a "medical tube"
the parts are ready
install the disk withe the sanding paper, glued.
Make one small cover, if you like
install also the vertical sanding tube
put the helping and protect cover, in position

We still have our second Christmas day in Holland so for everyone.....Happy Christmas !!!!!!!!!
Then.....yesterday evening when we are watching 3 movies......Santa Claus 1 , 2 and 3 .....with Tim Allen.
At the time that they have the commercials, I painted the figure head in between.......
And make a picture for you to take a look how it looks.
