thanks for all the coments and likes... 😊
am getting ready to plank the 2 plank belt , all the tick marks are in place and i also took a control of the run,
wat i can se at the bow is the plank seems to go more upwards then the first belt .
in my 2 belt there is totel of 10 planks if i go dow to 9 i may have to use a drop plank aft,
i think is going to be to wide ....

Johann, Joe, John- thanks for the kind words!
Not a huge update, but an update nonetheless. Waterways have been installed- they ended up being more of a pain in the butt than expected because of the need to drill out the cannonball divots and making them neat. I feel that similar to treenails, it would be easy to make them look incredibly sloppy if not lined up and even. I think I got it where I'm happy with it considering I don't have a mill. In the end I also am not a fan of cutting down the deck beam ends into a tab to fit between the clamp an waterway like I did. The idea is to make things easier but I don't know if it accomplished that and also made some of my beams a bit less sturdy. In the future I would notch the clamp and waterway as was done in the original ship.
I also cut down my frame tops. When I made my frames I didn't leave enough wiggle room on top so a few were a bit under the correct height for the rail. My solution was to cut them all down 5mm below the rail height which is why they look a bit low. I will add a 5mm cap along the top that will just get covered up by planking and I figure make things a little more rigid anyway.
Thanks for looking in!
Chad

I started working on the Texas cabin - some compound curves to make with it. I think I'm getting it to look correct.

Started my triton cross section today. I plan to build this when I need a break from the Winchelsea I just started. Never done two builds at once.

Main topsail sheet bits with gallows completed, you can see the blocks there with their respective sheaves made out of ebony to simulate the lignum vitae that they would of been made from.

Hi
When I started this project, I was most afraid how i will make brass Gangway brackets.
I had never really worked with brass and don't have any experience with soldering.
After many attempts its looks quite good/for me:)/

Presentation of the build, I would say, is as much important as the construction of the build. One of the things to do is to take sometimes to take photos. There are some basics rules to follow by examples when taking photos inside the model the photo must be well horizontally. When taking photos, I try to take photos at the height of the human eye at the scale, this provide a more natural photos look. By contrast, photos taken too high do not look as well. This morning, I tried another series of photos.
