Salute Michael, Thanks for your kind comments... Following me as a guide?!... You will be certainly lost!... In fact, there is not any barrel on the quarter deck through the plans. But I like the barrels in period ships; typical and concerning the past. And the crew have had to be thirsty. The tap and the bung are my addition.

Salute awsjerome, The height of this pin rail is approximately 2,00 - 2,25 m. (scale 1:40) I think the crew of the main deck have been choosen between the men at least 2,00 m tall... They were working, eating, sleeping... only on the main deck, Or... One man on the shoulder of the another... In fact I have not any idea. Maybe the authorities in this forum could answer your question. By now, me, I begin to wait any recourse from Mark (Moderator). I went to the section scracht build log, to the Model Mariner's Berlin and saw almost the same height... Perhaps it occurs because of the original plans.

Salute Michael, I think that one of the important factors which give value and beauty to any piece of work is the persistence to achieve the details successfully. That is your sensibility and manner. Salute Matti, So if I am understanding you correctly, you asked me why there are not vertical timbers over the planking inside of the bulwark. Unfortunately I am not competent about period ships. I suspected about my work after your post. But I follow the plans. And at the section "scratch build logs in progress" Model Mariner is building Berlin in the same manner, very clear especially in posts no 18 and 19. Then I calmed down. By the way thank you very much for your interest.

Salute B.E. This cement is very useful and I highly recommend it. It facilitates rigging very much. You are right. If I have had my mind of today, the blocks would be more correct :-(

Ahoy J.Pett, you welcome... I am happy when someone asks me something and I am able to answer. Thanks for your kind comment as always... You are right; the blocks for cannons are optional, the kit does not provide them, unfortunately. I have purchased them from Artesania Latina fittings, boxwood 3 mm. For the quarter deck's cannons which are smaller than the main deck's, I have sanded these blocks of 3mm to diminish down to 2 mm. The thick rope is 1 mm in diameter, the rope through the blocks 0,5 mm. I have provided the ropes from Amati rigging lines. The kit calculates the ropes cm by cm...
