Thank you for the info and I really like this, Matti; "Im trying to look at the 1:10 and the painted sculpture replicas from the museum for color reference. I will tone down some nuances to my taste, some to give scale and make them blend well, other for dramatic effects."

Hi Matti, I realized that the color of the background of the two lions below the curtain is blue and the color of the puppies is gold through the book. Which choice would you prefer as there are many variations about colors according to authors? Following one of them or making a mixed paint work through your taste? BTW, your paint work is detailed and clean...

Today I remembered that I have an article at my PC and as soon as possible I returned to it. I noticed that my rudder build has resemblance to the first one in the picture and that makes me feel happy...

Yes Matti. what I see is an one to one copy, this is an important news for you, I can understand, me, as much as the build seems as original I feel relieved. BB has done great job and your painting is really impressive...

Hi Matti, Your ability to successfully manage the build, makes it worthy. As you mentioned it's a really successfully made and successfully painted copy seeming like the original as closer as possible. Congratulations...

Hello B.E.; Thank you very much for your interest and knowledge. Everyday I feel content of increasing my capacity of datum about period ships.

Hello Hamilton, He was Brian (RiverRat) who complimented me on the addition (I thank him again)... Your habituel kindness and that you have mentioned, makes me feel fine and victorious.

Thank you very much B.E.; for the comments of a knowledgeable craftsman... As I haven't any profound knowledge about period ships and try to follow kit plans, it's inevitable for me to make errors. Would you let me know if there is any fault about the stern post and rudder arrangement? From now I can do anything but it would be profitable in my intended build and for the other members.

Hi Sjors, Your kindness again...and forever... (BTW, it is possible to take out the rudder and then to hang on it...)

Thank you Juergen for your kind comments... Yes, scratch build is another fantastic world in the parallel universe, existing only in my imagination... It's like a dream...

Thank you Wolf for your comment, highly appreciated. I dropped in your log, your SF II is really great... Even though I don't like much mahogany wood, I realized that it could affect me by seeing your clean and beautiful hull planking...

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
