Front axle, spindles, brake back plates and brake cables. My brake cables were done with monofilament then painted with Mr Color metal iron.

Maybe I’ll need to do a diorama for the model when it’s done. Never did that before. I would guess there are some 3D printed resin tools and such out there in 1:12 scale by cottage industry people.

A remarkable feature of these Bugatti's is the curved and tapered tubular live axle at the front.
Several of my engineering friends have been left scratching their heads.
What a super job you are making of this kit; hat's off to you and the manufacturer.

Another dry-fit photo session. This time, with the main body color, Bugatti blue, laid down.
I wanted to give time for the paint to thoroughly cure out before I go to the next steps of weathering the model. There remain quite a few components and details to finish out before I move on to weathering.

Actually, I was concerned about the near-impossibility of getting the skins of adjacent sections aligned properly with butt joints. I find the seams of butt joints to be problematic at best. Anyways, the wings are on now!

Looking forward to your build. Isn't it amazing how after so many decades this fighter still looks "modern" in a certain way? Went into service in 1958. Wow, that was a LONG time ago.
